cur8or

A virtual exhibition curator using real museum collections.

cur8or lets users explore the collections of the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Art Institute of Chicago, curating their own virtual exhibitions by selecting and arranging artworks in a custom digital gallery space.

Visual direction

cur8or’s interface was designed to echo the calm precision of a modern gallery space. The aesthetic balances minimal structure with generous whitespace, allowing artwork imagery to take visual priority. A restrained colour palette and soft shadows evoke a sense of depth and focus without distraction. Every component, from the grid system to the modal viewer, was refined to feel tactile, responsive and trustworthy. The result is a visual identity that feels museum-grade but accessible to anyone curious about curation.
