glitterball
An interactive generative club night poster.
Created as a playful experiment for my Somerset-based club night, this site is part flyer, part website, part live visual performance.
Visual direction
The visual direction leans into the spirit of DIY club culture – lo-fi textures, bright flashes of colour, and typographic play. A fun display typeface contrasts with raw 90s bitmap photography, evoking playfulness and grit. The palette is intentionally unstable: every refresh generates a new colour that changes how the text, boxes and background interplay – every interaction reshuffles the textures and colours, generating over a million combinations for a near-unique experience on each visit. Motion is central – letters wobble, pop-ups wiggle and images shift on scroll – creating a tactile sense of movement.
